Factory reset: A full reset (level 3)
Reading time: 3 minutes
Experiencing glitches with your Sound Capsule? In this article, we cover how to do a factory rest.
Understanding the different types of resets:
There are three levels, or three methods, to perform reset of your Sound Capsule:
- Reboot: A gentle reset, similar rebooting a computer or smartphone.
- Shut Down: A deeper reset, equivalent to powering off your computer and restarting it.
- Factory Reset: Restores your Sound Capsule to its factory settings, as if it's brand new. Factory reset is what we'll focus on in this guide.
Have you tried rebooting or performed a shutdown of your Space Recorder first? If not, follow the links above and try that first.
Will I loose my recordings if I perform a factory reset?
Yes, you will. A factory reset erases all recordings stored on your Sound Capsule.
What to do before a factory reset?
- Back Up recordings: Ensure all your recordings are uploaded to your Cloud account to prevent loss.
