Reboot: The softest reset (level 1)

Reading time: 2 minutes

Experiencing minor glitches with your Sound Capsule? Resetting it might be the quickest solution to get things back on track.

Example:

If your Space Recorder's display incorrectly shows a Stellar Microphone as docked when it's not, a swift reboot is often all it takes to resolve this.

Understanding the different types of resets:

There are three levels, or three methods, to perform reset of your Sound Capsule:

  1. Reboot: A gentle reset, similar rebooting a computer or smartphone. Rebooting is what we'll focus on in this guide.
  2. Shut Down: A deeper reset, equivalent to powering off your computer and restarting it.
  3. Factory Reset: Restores your Sound Capsule to its factory settings, as if it's brand new.

Will I loose my recordings if I reboot?

No!

A reboot is completely safe. It won't affect your recordings, user settings, or workspace. There's no risk of data loss or even being logged out.

Important: Do not initiate a reboot while recording, as it will disrupt and fail to save the ongoing recording.
